Washington: Number of homeless

Number of homeless shows a point-in-time count of homeless people that is conducted every year in every county in Washington. The count is conducted during the last week in January by local volunteers and service providers with assistance from counties, cities, and the Department of Commerce.  The number of homeless persons includes those sheltered and unsheltered.
  

In Washington in 2014. . .

  • 18,839 were counted as homeless;
  • 26.7 per 10,000 population were homeless.
